Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how subscriptions, cancellations and refunds work for the Mechanic Mate app. Mechanic Mate is operated by Mohit Bhalodiya (operating as Mfinity Infotech).

Quick summary: All Mechanic Mate subscriptions are processed and billed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly receive or process your payment. Refunds must be requested from the store you purchased through, following their refund rules. We are happy to help guide you through the process — just email us.

1. Free Trial

New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment method is required to start the trial.

  • If you do not start a paid subscription before the trial ends, your account will continue with limited features (or be paused), but no charge will occur.
  • You can cancel the trial anytime from your device's app-store settings — no charge will be raised.

2. How Subscriptions Are Billed

Mechanic Mate offers two paid plans (Monthly ₹299 and Annual ₹1,999). When you choose to subscribe:

  • If you are on iOS, Apple bills you through your Apple ID.
  • If you are on Android, Google bills you through your Google Play account.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • Mfinity Infotech does not store, view or process your payment card / UPI details directly. The store handles everything.

3. How to Cancel Your Subscription

You can cancel anytime. Cancellation stops future renewals — your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

📱 If you subscribed via Apple App Store

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone / iPad
  2. Tap your name → Subscriptions
  3. Tap Mechanic Mate
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription

🤖 If you subscribed via Google Play Store

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
  3. Tap Mechanic Mate
  4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the steps

4. Refunds

Because subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google, refunds are governed by their respective policies. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly for subscription charges.

Refund from Apple (iOS users)

Apple typically allows refund requests within 90 days of purchase, at their discretion.

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find the Mechanic Mate charge → tap Report a Problem
  4. Choose a reason and submit

Apple will respond by email, usually within 24–48 hours.

Refund from Google (Android users)

Google offers a self-service refund within 48 hours of purchase. After that, the developer (us) must approve.

  1. Within 48 hours: visit play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory → find the order → tap Refund
  2. After 48 hours: email us at support@mechanicmate.in with your order ID. We will review and, if reasonable, request the refund through Google on your behalf.

5. When We Will Help You Get a Refund

We genuinely want every garage owner to be happy with Mechanic Mate. We will actively support your refund request in the following situations:

  • You were charged by mistake (e.g. duplicate billing, wrong plan)
  • The app was unusable due to a bug we could not fix in a reasonable time
  • You were charged after attempting to cancel before the renewal date
  • Any other genuine technical issue from our side

To request our help, email support@mechanicmate.in with:

  • Your order ID (from the App Store / Play Store)
  • The store you purchased through
  • A short explanation of the issue

We aim to respond within 2 business days.

6. Non-Refundable Situations

The following situations are typically not eligible for a refund:

  • Forgetting to cancel before auto-renewal (you remain responsible for cancelling on time)
  • Unused portions of an annual plan you cancel mid-cycle
  • Changes to your business situation that no longer require the app

That said, if your reason is genuine, please email us — we are reasonable people and will try to help.

7. Account Data After Cancellation

When you cancel, your data is not deleted immediately. You can resubscribe anytime and continue exactly where you left off. If you want your data permanently deleted, email support@mechanicmate.in from your registered email address with the request, and we will delete your account within 7 working days.
